5. BEACH SOCCER: USA qualifies 2006 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup

The USA, along with Canada, has qualified from the CONCACAF region for
November's 2006 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Rio de Janeiro, where the
Americans will face host Brazil, Japan and Poland in the group stage.At the
qualifying tournament in Costa Rica, the USA lost, 3-2, to the host Ticos on
Sunday after having clinched first place with wins over Canada (3-0), Mexico
(7-4) and Jamaica (5-2). U.S. captain Francis Farberoff was named MVP
while Yuri Morales led the team with five goals.
