Tonight, on the BBC investigative show "Panorama," a leading Premier League agent is expected to reveal that he knows of "six to eight" managers in the league willing to receive illegal payments or "bungs." The agent, Charles Collymore, a member of the Sports Management firm that represents the likes of Salif Diao, Khalilou Fadiga and Eric Djemba-Djemba, was caught on film making remarks about the undeclared payments managers receive from agents often as part of a player's transfer fee. "There's managers out there who take bungs all day long," said Collymore. "[Unnamed manager], you know that, takes bungs all day long. We've got [unnamed club], yep all day long. I would say to you comfortably there's six to eight managers we could definitely approach and they'd be up for this, no problem." The individuals who were not mentioned in the quotations above are expected to be revealed on the BBC program tonight. They are whisperings in that press that certain Portsmouth and Newcastle United officials could be implicated in tonight's show. Read the original story...
