Here is some biographical information on some of the goalies at the MLS player combine in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Note: GC = Green Card holder; I = International Player

KHALIL AZMI (GC)

Played for the New York Fever in the A-League in 1996.... Also played a month with the New Hampshire Phantoms in 1996.... The goalkeeper for Morocco at the 1994 World Cup, he has 75 international appearances.... Played for Morocco in the African Cup in 1988 and 1992.... Was drafted last season by the Colorado Rapids in the 14th Round of the MLS Player Draft (132nd overall), but was released in preseason.... Now has a Green Card.... Played for Wydad Casablanca in his native Morocco from 1983-92 and for Raja Casablanca from 1992-94.

MANUEL CAROU (I)

Backup keeper for Spanish clubs Rayo Vallecano and Real Valladolid.

REGGIE PIERRE-JEROME

Spent time in the APSL and USISL with the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers, Florida Stars and Florida Strikers... Trained with clubs in Peru and France.... Played twice for Haiti in 1994 World Cup qualifiers against Bermuda.... Starred at Coastal Carolina.

QUINN O'SULLIVAN

Played for La Loretana in the Peruvian First Division during the last half of the season in 1996.... From 1992-95, he was the starting goalkeeper for Cornell University.... Led the Big Red to the NCAA playoffs as a senior.

MARK PETERS

Played in the Costa Rican First Division with El Carmen during 1996.... Started 16 games, winning 15 and losing one.... Played 1992-95 at Virginia, winning four ACC championships and three NCAA titles.... The MVP of the ACC Tournament and defensive MVP of the NCAA Tournament in 1994.

DOUG PETRAS

Played with the Chicago Power of the NPSL in 1995-96 and is currently playing with the Harrisburg Heat of the NPSL, for which he also played during 1994-95.... Played 1990-93 at Robert Morris College, leading the team to its first ever NCAA tournament appearance in 1993.... Played with U.S. National Indoor Team in September of 1996 during qualifying for World Championships.... Played indoors for the CISL's Pittsburgh Stingers in 1994.

JIM ST. ANDRE

An assigned player to the New England Revolution last season, he played 15 games, starting 14 and had a 1.81 goals against average during the regular season.... Made 57 saves with 45 catches/punches and allowed just 13 shootout goals in 44 attempts, tops in the league.... Played at Vermont from 1986-90, racking up 44 shutouts to set a NCAA record for the New England region.... He was an All-New England selection all four years and an NSCAA All-America as a senior.... The 1989 NCAA Division I goals-against leader at 0.44.... Played the 1995 season with the New York Centaurs.... Played with the APSL's Ft. Lauderdale Strikers in 1994.... Was with the APSL's Colorado Foxes from 1990-94.... In 1993, he had the lowest GAA in the APSL at 1.33.... An APSL All-Star in 1992 with the league's second lowest GAA at 1.22.
