Mexican club Toluca, because it reached the semifinals of the Copa Sudamericana and the wild-card playoffs of the Mexican league, ended up with two games on the same day.

On Thursday, the Red Devils sent their first team to the Chilean capital of Santiago and fell, 2-1, to Colo Colo in the first-leg of the Copa Sudamericana semifinals. That game kicked off about the time that their first leg of the Mexican league play-in ended in the southern Mexican city of Chiapas, where Toluca fielded a reserve team and lost, 1-0. Its first team will be back for the second leg on Sunday (live on Galavision, 5 pm PT).

Coach Americo Gallego went to the game in Chile. The second leg of that competition takes place on Tuesday, giving his first-team men a day of rest before trying to overcome the one-goal deficit against Colo Colo.
