The Chicago Fire won the first pick at the 1998 MLS Expansion Draft, to be held on Thursday, November 6, at 1:00 p.m. (ET), by a coin toss. The second 1998 MLS expansion team, the Miami Fuson, will pick first in the other draft of their choice (either the 1998 Supplemntal Draft or the 1998 College Draft).
