FIFA Favorite Ronaldinho Leads Barca to CWC Final

European champion FC Barcelona eased past Mexico's Club America, 4-0, on Thursday to book a place in Sunday's Club World Cup final against South American champ Internacional in Yokohama. Ronaldinho, who has been rumored to three-peat as FIFA's World Player of the Year this year, led the Catalans with a goal and an assist. "We are very glad to have played at this level," said Ronaldinho. "We enjoyed ourselves very much. It may have seemed easy but it wasn't." The first goal came early, as Ronaldinho played a clever back-heel pass to Andres Iniesta, who fed Eidur Gudjohnsen to fire home on 11 minutes. In the 30th minute, Rafa Marquez headed home a Deco corner kick, and then Ronaldinho added a third just after the hour mark blasting a rebound with his right foot into the top corner. Ronaldinho was again the set-up man, laying off to Deco to fire home from the top of the area in the 85th minute. "It's going to be a difficult match," Ronaldinho said of the final. "But we don't consider ourselves the favorite. We just arrived in Japan." For many, it could be the first time they get glimpse of Brazil's latest teenage sensation "Pato" Alexandre, although he may not be fit for the match after injuring himself in the other semi against Al Ahly.
