Cam Weaver, who went from being the last player to make the USL1 Seattle Sounders' 2006 roster to sharing the league scoring title with Brazilian great Romario, has been transferred to FK Haugesund of the Norwegian First Division (second level).

"We will certainly miss Cam and his goal-scoring abilities, but this is another great example of the Sounders being able to identify and develop local talent," said Sounders coach Brian Schmetzer. "He deserved a chance to play at a higher level, and Haugesund was first in line. I think Cam has a great soccer future and we wish him well."

Weaver, the 2006 USL1 Rookie of the Year, finished the year tied for the league lead in goals (18) and points (39) with Romario, who played for Miami. He joined the Sounders after starring for Skagit Valley College and Seattle University.
