Josh Pittman, coach of the new Mesa State men's program, has landed Andy Cornia, the 2007 Utah Gatorade Player of the Year, as part of his first recruiting class.

Cornia plays for Bonneville High School and FC Inter. Pittman, most recently was a developmental staff coach for the Real Colorado Soccer Club, also signed eight other players.

The Mavericks will compete in the NCAA Division II Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, one of the top conferences in the nation.
