USL-1 expansion team California held defending champion Vancouver to a 2-2 tie in its debut on Saturday.

Mike Munoz and Josh Hansen scored for the Victory, which recovered after falling behind on a goal by Cuban Eduardo Sebrango in the third minute.

Atlanta beat Minnesota, 3-1, Friday to take over first place with five points after three games.

In the USL-2, the Bermuda Hogges made their debut with a 1-0 loss to Harrisburg before 1,666 fans at the National Stadium. Bermuda also fell to Harrisburg, 1-0, on Sunday.
