Former FC Dallas coach Colin Clarke has been named the head coach of the USL-1's Puerto Rico Islanders, replacing Toribio Rojas, who will remain with the Islanders to work in their youth program.

Clarke is a former Northern Ireland international who has worked as a coach in MSL and the USL. He coached the Richmond Kickers and San Diego Flash and was hired to coach the Virginia Beach Mariners earlier this year before their dissolution. He had led Dallas to the MLS playoffs in each of his three seasons with the club.

Clarke will meet the players during practice scheduled for Wednesday morning at "La Islandera" and will be with the team on Thursday in Minnesota for the game to be played on Saturday.
