Gold Cup Final a Road Game for the USA
Chicago Tribune, June 22nd, 2007 4PM

Did you notice how raucous the atmosphere became and how full the stadium got by the end of the USA-Canada match? "It's never a pro-U.S. crowd when you play in Chicago," Beasley, the former Fire star, said after the Americans' 2-1 victory over Canada. Fortunately for the tournament's organizers, and unfortunately for the Americans, Soldier Field is also the location of the final, which will be between the USA and Mexico after all. There will certainly be U.S. support, but don't count on Sunday's final feeling like anything less than a mini-Azteca Stadium.
