[AMERICANS ABROAD WRAPUP] Tim Howard made a diving save late in the game to preserve Everton's 2-1 victory over Wigan.

Heath Pearce made his Bundesliga debut in Hansa Rostock's 3-0 loss to Bayern Munich.

In the German Second Division, Josh Wolff had two assists in 1860 Munich's 6-2 win at Augsburg.

Neven Subotic, only 18, went the entire 90 minutes in Mainz's 4-1 victory over Koblenz.
