Wayne Rooney out with another broken foot

England star Wayne Rooney broke his foot in Manchester United's 0-0 tie with Reading on Sunday and could be out for as long as three months.

Rooney suffered a hairline fracture of his left foot. He also broke a bone in his right foot during Euro 2004 and another bone in the right foot just before the 2006 World Cup.

The 21-year-old Rooney, who tied Cristiano Ronaldo as United's leading scorer last season with 23 goals, will miss the start of the UEFA Champions League and key matches in England's bid to reach the 2008 European Championship finals.
