Ronaldo to Undergo Milan Physical

Major League Soccer lost any serious hopes of acquiring Real Madrid's Ronaldo weeks ago, after reports surfaced that the out of favor striker and AC Milan were interested in a possible transfer. Now, barring any last minute difficulties, the deal looks to be all but done, as the three-time World Player of the Year touched down in Milan this evening in order to complete a medical tomorrow.

Should he pass the physical exam, Milan officials said they would fly to Madrid on Monday to complete the transfer, which the Spanish media says is close to $8 million. "Thanks to the generosity of [Real] President [Ramon] Calderon, Ronaldo - who is still a Real Madrid player - will have a medical at Milanello tomorrow," said Vice-President Adriano Galliani. The deal is believed to be for 18-months with a possible extension that would allow the Brazilian to see out his career in Milan if he perfoms well. It's possible Ronaldo will be in the stands for today's Italian Cup semi-final between Roma and Milan. Read the original story...
