[CORRECTION] American goalkeeper Tim Howard did not play in Everton's 1-0 loss to Manchester United last weekend, as reported in Monday's Daily. Howard dislocated a finger in 58th minute of the USA's 4-2 loss to Brazil Sept. 9. He managed to play the rest of the game but was deemed unfit upon his return to his English Premier League club. German keeper Stefan Wessels started for Everton in Howard's place.

"I don't know how long it will take for Tim to come back and you never wish a colleague to get injured but that is what I came here for," Wessels told evertonTV. "Tim is a very good goalkeeper who has played very well but when he is injured I would like to be there and to play well and I hope I will have some more chances."
