[AMERICANS IN GERMANY] Right back Steve Cherundolo set up Hannover 96's second goal in a 2-0 win over defending Bundesliga champion VfB Stuttgart. Szabolcs Huszti, who also scored Hannover's first, headed home Cherundolo's pinpoint cross as Hannover held on to sixth place.

In the German Second Division, defender Gregg Berhalter went the full 90 in 1860 Munich's 2-0 win at Carl Zeiss Jena. 1860 Munich is in second place, two points behind Borussia Moenchengladbach. Mainz 05 defender Nevin Subotic played his ninth straight full game in a 4-1 win over Erzgebirge Aue.
