[VIDEO] Midfielder Joel Griffiths of Australian club Newcastle United Jets escaped with a yellow card for striking a linesman in a manner that one TV commentator described with "He's clocked him one in the jewels" and another called a "short jab in the nether regions."

Referee Matthew Breeze cautioned Griffiths for striking assistant referee Alex Glasgow in the groin during the 1-1 A-League tie with Central Coast on Oct. 7. Football Federation Australia confirmed that "no further action would or could be taken against Griffiths, because the incident had been dealt with on the field of play," reported The Daily Telegraph.
