O'Brian White is an early favorite for Men's Player of the Year honors.

The Jamaican youth international via Ontario scored a hat trick for the second straight game and led No. 1 Connecticut to a 3-0 win over Providence Wednesday night at Morrone Stadium.

White became the first UConn player in program history to tally back-to-back hat tricks and only the second to earn more than one in his career, let alone a single season. He currently leads the nation in scoring with 32 points off 14 goals and four assists.

The Huskies also have the nation's assist leader in sophomore Mike Pezza. The former St. Benedict's star assisted on White's third goal to give him 13 assists for the season. Jamaica international Akeem Priestley and Ryan Cordeiro set up White for goals in the first 12 minutes of the game.

The win was the Huskies' fifth straight, and they improved to 12-1-0 on the season.
