THOMPSON PROFILE

Against No. 3 Notre Dame, Thompson scored the only goal of the game from 20 yards out in leading the Spartans to a 1-0 victory.

Thompson, who came to Michigan State after playing his club ball for Vardarstars, scored his second goal of the week with a shot from 15 yards in a 5-0 win over the Wolverines. He also split the UM defense and was taken down for the first of two penalties converted by the Spartans' Doug DeMartin in the first half.
