Ramiro Corrales celebrates Norwegian title

[AMERICANS ABROAD] Californian Ramiro Corrales, who played nine seasons in MLS and won two titles with San Jose, helped Brann win its first Norwegian title in 44 years. Brann clinched the 2007 championship by taking a nine-point lead with one game to play and qualifies for the UEFA Champions League, which as already drawn an influx of investment in the club.

Corrales joined Norwegian club HamKam in 2005. After the 2006 season he was deported for having played without the proper work visa. But the 30-year-old was allowed back and in 2007 and joined Brann, for which he starts at left back.
