Sophomore Nikki Washington, who scored in all three games for North Carolina en route to its 18th ACC tournament title in 20 years, is the Soccer America Women's Player of the Week for games played Nov. 5-11.

WASHINGTON PROFILE

Washington went into the ACC Tournament with only two goals, scored for the Tar Heels as they defeated Clemson, 3-0, in the quarterfinals, tied Virginia, 1-1, in the semifinals (advancing on penalty kicks, 4-2) and beating Florida State in the final, 1-0.

Washington, the Tournament Most Valuable Player, reached out and deflected freshman Meghan Klingenberg's pass past Seminole keeper Erin McNulty for the only goal of the final.
