Israeli Dori Arad, whose two goals gave Connecticut a 2-0 win over Notre Dame in the Big East Tournament final, is the Soccer America Men's Player of the Week for games played Nov. 12-18.

ARAD PROFILE

Arad's goals, which gave him three at the Big East final four, were scored 10 minutes apart in the first half. Both were scored on headers off corner kicks, the first taken by Jamaica international Akeem Priestley and the second by Mike Pezza. Arad's goals were his first three of the season.

With the Big East title, UConn finished the season first in the Soccer America Men's Top 25.

Soccer America Women's Player of the Week

Sophomore Nikki Washington, who scored in all three games for North Carolina en route to its 18th ACC tournament title in 21 years, is the Soccer America Women's Player of the Week for games played Nov. 5-11.

WASHINGTON PROFILE

Washington went into the ACC Tournament with only two goals, scored for the Tar Heels as they defeated Clemson, 3-0, in the quarterfinals, tied Virginia, 1-1, in the semifinals (advancing on penalty kicks, 4-2) and beating Florida State in the final, 1-0.

Washington, the Tournament Most Valuable Player, reached out and deflected freshman Meghan Klingenberg's pass past Seminole keeper Erin McNulty for the only goal of the final.
