2007 NSCAA/adidas Small College Players of the Year

NSCAA/adidas National Players of the Year for the 2007 small-college season include four-time All-American Kai Kasiguran of Messiah and Haitian international Ricardo Pierre-Louis. All the winners will be recognized at the NSCAA/adidas All-America Luncheon, to be held Jan. 19 in Baltimore.

NCAA Division II Men
James Thorpe, Sr., Franklin Pierce
Thorpe is the first three-time All-America in Franklin Pierce history and first four-time Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Year. He was named Most Outstanding Defensive Player at the Final Four and didn't concede a goal in 200 minutes of action. His 49 shutouts are one shy of the Division II mark.

NCAA Division II Women
Shannon Aitken, Sr., Tampa
Aitken concluded her senior season with a record of 20-2-3 in goal with a 0.61 GAA while leading Tampa to its first NCAA title. She also registered a school-record 14 shutouts to conclude her Spartan career with a school-record 40.

NCAA Division III Men
Kai Kasiguran, Sr., Messiah
Kasiguran selection caps a stellar career that includes four NSCAA/adidas All-America team honors and three NCAA Division III titles. He registered 36 goals and 25 assists during his four seasons.

NCAA Division III Women
Taryne Lee, So., Wheaton (Ill.)
Lee, the 2007 CCIW Most Outstanding Player, scored a school single-season record 27 goals this year, adding nine assists. She tallied 63 total points this year to establish another single-season record for the Thunder while leading the team to the NCAA title. In just two seasons at Wheaton she has scored 47 career goals and served up 24 assists.

NAIA Men
Ricardo Pierre-Louis, Jr., Lee
The Haitian international, who played in the 2007 Gold Cup, is a three-time NSCAA/adidas All-America. Despite missing a month of the season due to a leg injury, he ended the year with 29 goals.

NAIA Women
Marcia Silva, Jr., Martin Methodist
Starting 23 matches this season, Silva helped lead the Martin Methodist defense to 15 shutouts. The Brazilian was was named the NAIA National Tournament MVP, leading Martin Methodist to the title.
