[OFF THE POST] Sunday was a bad day for Manchester City and its players. Not only did the Premier League club lose to second-level Sheffield United, 2-1, in the English FA Cup, but its players and staff returned to their locker room at United's Bramall Lane to discover it had been ransacked.

Cash totaling $3,000-$4,000 was reportedly taken from wallets in the City dressing room during the game.

South Yorkshire Police, Sheffield United and Manchester City were investigating the matter.

"I'm not aware that the dressing room was locked,'' said City spokesman Paul Tyrrell. "I'd rather not name names but it was a number of players and the backroom staff.''
