[ENGLAND WATCH] Arsenal forward Eduardo, who suffered multiple leg fractures from a brutal foul by Birmingham's Martin Taylor last weekend, was released from the hospital and the club said he could make a full recovery in nine months.

"The club can confirm that Eduardo has now been released from hospital, where he had been since sustaining his injury against Birmingham City," an Arsenal statement said. "Eduardo would like to once again thank everyone for the overwhelming messages of support he has received."

Eduardo, who turned 25 on Monday, left his native Brazil at age 16 for Croatia, whose national team he helped qualify for the 2008 European Championship.

Croatian journalists were restrained by Birmingham's security force when they ran on to the road and tried to force their way into Taylor's car as he left the club's facilities on Monday.
