[OFF THE POST]FIFA has moved the World Cup qualifier between North Korea and South Korea from the North Korean capital of Pyongyang to Shanghai after North Korea objected to the playing of the South Korean anthem, instead demanding that a folk song popular in both countries be played. FIFA stipulates that each national anthem must be played.
The Koreas, which are technically at war, have marched under a joint flag during the Olympic Games.
"This decision was taken today after the [Korean] associations in the best interests of soccer agreed to the newly designated venue," FIFA said in a statement.
For their part, the South Koreans have allowed to North Koreans to fly their flag and play their anthem at games in South Korea.
