Omar Persad of San Diego State and Joel Senior of Howard, both products of the U.S. youth system, are representing Jamaica at the CONCACAF Under-20 World Cup Qualifying Tournament being played in Culiacan, Mexico.

The American-born Persad, a sophomore with the Aztecs, starred on Kentucky club Javanon's 2006 McGuire Cup championship team and played on the Region II ODP team before choosing to represent Jamaica.

Senior, the 2006 Atlantic Soccer Conference Rookie of the Year at Howard, was a standout at Washington's Archbishop Carroll High School.

Senior started in Jamaica's opening game, a 2-0 loss to Costa Rica. Persad did not play.
