[AMERICANS ABROAD] In his 100th Belgian league appearance, 25-year-old defender Oguchi Onyewu helped Standard Liege to a 2-0 win over Anderlecht to clinch the Jupiler League title with three games left. Standard Liege, which last won the title 25 years ago, can become the first Belgian league team to go undefeated in 42 years.

"Over the whole season we have proved to be the best team," said Onyewu. "Hopefully we can win the rest of our games, stay unbeaten and go on to challenge in the Champions League next season."
