[AMERICANS IN MEXICO] U.S. U-23 defender Michael Orozco made his 10th start in 15 games this season for San Luis in a 2-1 win over Morelia. The win put San Luis in a tie on points with Chivas Guadalajara atop the Clausura 2008 overall standings; Chivas has a better goal difference. Edgar Castillo went the full 90 for Santos in a 1-1 tie with Necaxa that kept Santos on pace for a playoff spot. Daniel Hernandez also played the full 90, but his Jaguares fell, 2-1, to Veracruz. Jaguarez does remain in the playoff hunt.

Jose Francisco Torres sat out Pachuca's 5-2 loss to Puebla with a red-card suspension.
