U.S. international Ali Kreiger started for FFC Frankfurt on Saturday when it beat Umea of Sweden, 3-2, to win the UEFA Women's Cup, 4-3, on aggregate before a UEFA women's record crowd of 27,640.

German international Conny Pohlers scored two goals for Frankfurt, which became the first team to win a third UEFA Women's Cup. Petra Wimbersky scored the third FFC goal on a free kick.

Umea, the Swedish women's powerhouse, featured Brazilian superstar Marta and Japan international Mami Yamaguchi, the 2007 Hermann Trophy winner who gave up her last year of eligibility at Florida State to turn pro and join Umea.
