[AMERICANS ABROAD]Santos, with 21-year-old New Mexican product Edgar Castillo, won the first leg of the Mexico's Clausura championship final, 2-1, at Cruz Azul. Santos, for which Castillo played the full 90 at left back, hosts the second leg Sunday (6 pm ET, live on Azteca America).

Cruz Azul took the lead in the 16th minute on a goal by Paraguayan Nicolas Vigneri.

Ecuadoran Christian Benitez set up Fernando Arce for a 60th minute equalizer and Benitez hit the winner in the 85th minute.

A tie on Sunday will be enough for Santos to win its third title in its history and the first since 2001.
