[OFF THE POST] Manchester City of the English Premier League will travel to the Faroe Islands to play EB/Streymur in the first round of UEFA Cup qualifying. EB/Streymur, Faroese Cup champion for the past two years, is based in the tiny village town Streymnes, which boasts a population of 199. But let's not forget the other half of the island. With the residents of sister village Hvalvik added to the equation, the population balloons to nearly 400.

Vio Margair, EB/Streymur's home stadium has a 1,000 capacity. Faroese officials have agreed to move the July 17 game to the 6,000-capacity Torsvollur stadium in the capital to accommodate the Manchester City fans.

New Manchester City manager Mark Hughes offered an honest evaluation of his squad's first-round opponents, "Obviously the strength of their league is nowhere near the Premier League, so you'd like to think really that we'd progress."

EB/Streymur's director Rolan Hojsted gave a different forecast:

"What can they expect? They can expect to lose."
