The success of Toronto FC, the second-year MLS club and host of Thursday's MLS All-Star Game, has prompted talk of further expansion in Canada. Both Vancouver and Montreal are interested in joining the MLS expansion queue.

NBA superstar Steve Nash will team with Vancouver Whitecaps owner Greg Kerfoot in a bid to bring MLS to Vancouver for the 2011 season, according to The Globe & Mail's sources. Nash's younger brother, Martin, is a midfielder with the Whitecaps. The Montreal Impact, another USL club, is interested in joint bid involving the Saputo family, owner of the Impact, and George Gillett Jr., co-owner of Liverpool. Ottawa is considered a long-term possibility for MLS expansion.

MLS Commissioner Don Garber said that there's "no rush" to expand and future expansion plans would be revealed in late November.
