[YOUTH] The USA fell to host Northern Ireland, 3-1, on Monday in the opening of the Milk Cup's Elite Section.

Both sides traded own goals -- Blackburn Rovers' Johnny Flynn scoring the USA and Ike Opara of Wake Forest putting the Irish ahead -- after James McLean scored the opener. Jordan Owens completed the scoring for Northern Ireland in the game played at Coleraine Showgrounds.

In other games, defending champion Israel tied, 2-2, with Belgium, and Chile beat Wales, 5-0.

In the Premier Section, California's South Coast Bayern beat County Fermanagh, 3-0, thanks to goals from Enrique Cardenas, Sergio Carranza and John Fitzpatrick.
