Juventus crushed Artmedia Bratislava, 4-0. Barcelona cruised past Wisla Krakow by the same score. Arsenal downed Dutch squad Twente Enschede, 2-0. American defender Oguchi Onyewu did not see action in Standard Liege's scoreless with Liverpool.

Samuel Eto'o scored twice for Barcelona Thierry Henry and Xavi also hit the net.

The second legs will be played in two weeks.
