Bailey stars for Surf at Nike Friendlies

[PLAYER OF THE WEEK] Allie Bailey led the San Diego Surf to a sweep of its three U-15 games at the Nike Women's Friendlies with a team-high four goals.

Bailey, who starred as a freshman for Torrey Pines High in its run to the 2008 Division I CIF San Diego Section championship, scored the first goal in the 3-0 win over Real So Cal. She then had three goals in the 4-0 win over the Irvine Strikers.

The Surf was the Region IV U-13 champion in 2007 but fell in group play at the U-14 regionals this year.

Real So Cal's U-16s were the only other team to sweep their three games in Carson.
