U.S. U-14 boys picked for Thanksgiving tournament

U.S. under-14 boys national team head coach Manny Schellscheidt named 38 players who will travel to the U.S. Youth Soccer ODP Thanksgiving Interregional tournament Nov. 26-Dec. 1 in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

The most notable name on the list is 12-year-old Emerson Hyndman, the grandson of FC Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman who has attracted interest from English clubs Newcastle and Liverpool and Portugal's Sporting Lisbon.

Also picked was Anthony Jeffries, son of former Dallas Burn head coach and current Chicago Fire assistant coach Mike Jeffries.

The U.S. U-14s will be split into two squads to compete against U-15 regional teams.
