Brazilian striker and three-time World Player of the Year Ronaldo, 31, will be ready to play again by the end of this year, he told the French sports daily. He is recovering from a ruptured knee ligament suffered in February.
Ronaldo has been linked with English Premier League side Manchester City, but the club has rejected stories that the Brazilian already signed a one-year contract with the team. Ronaldo says he's still interested. He also wouldn't mind a move to Paris St-Germain. "I adore Paris," he said. "I have a flat there and visit the city often. PSG is in the process of rebuilding. They have recruited some good players and are capable of taking the title."
Asked about his fitness and weight, Ronaldo replied that he went "five months without training, so there's nothing surprising about gaining a few kilos. But they can say what they want, it doesn't bother me."
