U.S. U-17s sweep games on tour

In the third of their nine-stop Development Academy exhibition tour, the U.S. under-17 boys national team's split squad earned wins over the Chicago Sockers U-15/16 and U-17/18 teams.

The younger group defeated the Sockers 5-1 with two goals from Soony Saad, and one goal each from Stefan Jerome, Charles Renken and Dustin Corea.

In the U-17/18 game, the Bradenton boys defeated the Sockers, 1-0, on a late penalty kick from Jack McInerney.

Next Saturday: The U-17s will face the Richmond Strikers.
