USL's Puerto Rico falls

[CONCACAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE] A 1-0 home loss to Guatemala's Municipal means USL-1's Puerto Rico Islanders' qualification for the second round depends on its final group game, Oct. 29 at Panama's Tauro FC.

Mexico's Santos, which beat Tauro 3-0 on Wednesday, has clinched a spot in the knockout round. Tauro and Puerto Rico, tied for second place in Group D with 7 points, and Municipal, in last place with five points, remain in contention with one game left in group play.

On Thursday, the Islanders fell when Mario Giovany Acevedo scored with four minutes left.

The Islanders had opened group play with two ties and a win before losing their last two games.
