Cameron Brown, one of the nation's top young midfield prospects, heads North Carolina's 2007 recruits. Brown, who spent time last year with the U.S. under-20 national team, has starred for Texas club Solar, where he is the career leading scorer with 154 goals and 275 assists for the three-time national runners-up.

Also signed by UNC was Brett King, who attended the U.S. under-17 residency program in Florida before returning home to play for CASL Elite. Davidson transfer Ryan Adeleye, who started 33 games as a defender for the Wildcats, as well as high school seniors Ryley Leech (Richmond Strikers) and Drew McKinney (CASL Elite), joined the program in January and have been training with the Tar Heels this spring.

Also enrolling at Carolina are goalkeepers Tyler Deric (Texas SC) and Stephen Twilley (Greensboro SC, N.C.) and Korean Daniel Choi, who plays at the IMG Soccer Academy.
