How does Anson Dorrance follow up on a freshman class that produced a record seven starters on North Carolina's 2006 NCAA Division I women's national championship team?

Despite returning 10 starters and 23 letter winners from last year's team, the Tar Heels have signed several players who could have an immediate impact.

The freshman class is led by midfielder Meghan Klingenberg (Penns Forest Nighthawks) of the U.S. U-17 national team and Rachel Givan (Mississippi United) of the U.S. U-16 national team.

Three other signees ranked in Soccer Buzz's Top 50 recruits: Leslie Briggs (Dallas Texans Red North), Katie Klimczak (KUFC Premier) and Katie Lutz (Greensboro Twisters).
