The annual Disney's Soccer Showcase kicks off Saturday at the Disney's Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., with boys action in four age groups as well as the U.S. Youth Soccer ODP Super Group featuring regional teams in the 1992 and 1993 age groups.

Boys action will continue through Dec. 30, followed by girls play Dec. 31 through Jan. 3. Like the boys, the girls action at the Disney's Soccer Showcase covers four age groups: U-19, U-17, U16 and U-15. The U.S. Youth Soccer National League will play its second series of matches in conjunction with the tournament.

Chelsea Football Club, the Disney's Soccer Showcase's presenting sponsor, is sending its academy team to compete in the U-17 boys Showcase division. The young Blues will be up against five of the six teams from the 2008 U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships, including the champion Dallas Texans Red Dallas.

Other boys teams in the tournament include U-19 Andromeda and Tab Ramos' U-15 NJSA Gunners, both defending U.S. Youth Soccer national champions.

U.S. Soccer Development Academy teams are competing at several levels in several age groups.

The marquee match on the girls side takes place on New Year's Eve when the Dallas Texans Red Dallas and Eclipse Select meet in bracket play in the U-17 Showcase. The game is a rematch of the 2008 U-16 U.S. Youth Soccer final won by the Texans, 4-2.

The defending national champion Dallas Texans Red Dallas are also competing in the U-16 Showcase.
