Last year, English club Chelsea finished second in the U-16 Showcase boys division at the Disney's Soccer Showcase. This year, the Blues have their sights set on the title in the U-17 Showcase, arguably the most competitive division, and they got off to a strong start Saturday afternoon when they beat D.C. United's academy team, 4-2.

Chelsea includes four first-year scholars in its academy program, led by England U-17 forward Frank Nouble, who has scored 10 goals in 14 FA Premier Academy League games this season.

Noble, Uruguayan Jhon Pirez, Billy Knott and Anton Rodgers scored in the win over D.C.

Nouble was part of the Chelsea U-18 team that recently competed at the Newark International Cup hosted by St. Benedict's Prep.

Chelsea is the presenting sponsor of the Disney's Soccer Showcase Series and has partnerships with CASL Elite and Match Fit Academy.
