Day 2 Wrapup/by Paul Kennedy
The YOUTH SOCCER REPORTER continues daily coverage of the Disney's Soccer Showcase presented by Chelsea Football Club.

Chelsea FC's academy boys made it two wins in two days with a narrow 1-0 win over Lonestar Red in the under-17 Showcase division. The only bad news for the Blues was that England U-16 international Billy Knott suffered a knee injury in the game. Other U-17 Showcase contenders include the Dallas Texans, Concorde Fire Elite, Solar, Javanon and YMS Xplosion.

The Miami Strike Force Cagliari (backed by the Serie A team of the same name) has stood out in the U-19 Showcase division with 4-0 and 3-0 victories. Maryland's Olney Rangers and Baltimore Casa Mia Bays both earned resounding wins in the U-15 Showcase division.

The Alpharetta Ambush SC Red and Dallas Texans Red Dallas have combined for 15 goals in a pair of wins in U-16 Showcase play.

Group play in the boys divisions concludes on Monday with championship and third-place games on Tuesday. Semifinal matches have been dropped this year.

Girls play will take place Dec. 31-Jan. 3. Follow all the action with the YOUTH SOCCER REPORTER each morning through Jan. 4.
