The Dallas Texans Red Dallas U-17 team repeated as U.S. Youth National League champion, defeating Eclipse Select, 2-0, on the final day of the three-game series at Disney's Soccer Showcase.

A first-minute goal from Courtney Smith gave the Texans the lead. They put the game away in the 74th minute when Natasha Anasi notched an insurance goal.

In the 2007-2008 National League season, the Texans and Eclipse Select faced off to determine the National League U-16 champion, and Eclipse walked away with the title, They also met again at the 2008 U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships, the Texans defeated Eclipse for the U-16 national title.

The U-16 and U-15 champion and runner-up and U-17 runner-up won't be determined until the final three-game series involving the four teams in each group that did not travel to Florida. The final series will be held March 13-15 in Las Vegas.

The Texans are in first place in all three groups.

They finished U-16 play with 15 points, six more than the Slammers and So Cal Blues, who both have three more games to play. Southern California clubs were idle because of the start of the high school season.

The Texans lead the U-15 group with 10 points, but they have finished all their seven games. FC Pennsylvania Strikers and the San Diego Surf are undefeated with eight points after four games.
