The most dominating performance by any team -- boys or girls -- at Disney's Soccer Showcase was that of Florida's Ponte Vedra Storm, which scored 28 unanswered goals in four games to reach the final in the Under-16 Copa Blue Division, where it beat Tennessee's Brentwood Premier, 3-1. The victory extended the Storm's win streak to 10 consecutive games. It had won all games at last month's CASL Showcase. The Storm will have eight players represent Florida at this month's Region III championships: Sarah Voigt, Theresa Diederich, Hayley Flynn, Noel Crane and Gabby Ragazzo (Florida '92) and Annie Bobbitt, Carson Pickett and Alli Brashear (Florida '93).
The team consists of players from Ponte Vedra, Orange Park,
Jacksonville, Gainesville, Keystone Heights and South Georgia.
