Banned RB New York goalkeeper Jon Conway has been joining in with preseason practice sessions, even though he still has to serve four games of a 10-game suspension, reports Frank Giase.

The team did its homework and found out that Conway, who was punished along with now departed defender Jeff Parke for violating Major League Soccer's substance abuse policy last season, may train with his teammates and play in exhibition games up until the season begins March 19. But then he will have to train alone until he completes the suspension.

"We trust our goalkeepers to do a good job, and when [Conway] comes in, he has to fight for his spot," coach Juan Carlos Osorio said. "As far as how he deals with that, I would just guess that he is happy to be here and training and training well and getting the proper training sessions that he needs as a professional." Conway, 32, declined to talk to media.
