The annual adidas ESP camp for girls concluded with the selection of 36 players to East and West teams that competed in the camp's all-star game Saturday at Cal Poly Pomona University in Pomona, Calif. For the complete all-star teams ...

Most of the players were high school sophomores. The only juniors (playing on opposite all-star teams) were the Payne twins, Sydney and Shelby, from RSL Florida and IMG Academy. Four freshmen were selected.

The sophomore class was headed by Riley Houle (Oakwood SC), who was attending her second adidas ESP camp. Other standouts included Clarissa Wedemeyer, one of four all-stars from the Dallas Texans, No. 1 in Soccer America's Best Girls Clubs rankings. Sarah Killion (Ft. Wayne Fever) has reportedly made a verbal commitment to attend UCLA.

The camp is a showcase for college coaches, and the heavy participation of sophomores reflects the emphasis top programs now place on locking up leading players by the beginning of their junior years.
