With one game to spare, the Dallas Texans won the 2009 U.S. Youth Soccer National League U-16 boys championship. The Texans have also clinched the
U-17 girls title.

The two Dallas Texans as well as GSA Phoenix Red, second in the U-16 boys division have clinched berths at the 2009 U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships.

The Baltimore Casa Mia Bays' U-15 boys have secured a trip to the National Championships, though the U-15 National League won't be decided until the final weekend of play March 20-22 in Detroit.

Under-17 Group:

Snow wiped out the final day of play in the under-17 boys division in Georgia. It left Eastern Pennsylvania teams YMS Xplosion and Lower Merion Velez tied for the lead with 14 points, one ahead of the Dallas Texans-Houston Red. They were not scheduled in compete on the final weekend of U-17 play March 13-15 in Las Vegas, where only Slammers FC has a chance of catching the top three teams.

The YMS Xplosion and Lower Merion Velez and Dallas Texans-Houston Red-Cobb FC games will be rescheduled at a later date.

Under-16 Group:

The U-16 boys group wrapped up with GSA Phoenix Red taking second place behind the Texans with a 3-0 win over CASL Elite on the final day of play. Ado Junuzovic scored a hat trick in the first 11 minutes of the game. The rain turned to sleet and the sleet turned to snow, causing the game to be called shortly after the half.

The Texans had beaten GSA, 1-0, the day before on Kingsley Bryce's goal.

The Casa Mia Bays finished U15 play with five wins and two ties for 17 points. The only team competing in Las Vegas with a chance of catching them is the Grand Rapids Crew Juniors, who will need to win all three games. Solar Red, which must make up one game against Texas rival TFC, is currently second with 10 points after six games.
